How many inches should your chandelier be from your table top? When placing a chandelier or pendant over a table, try to maintain 36 inches between the top of the table and the bottom of your chandelier. The fixture should not be less than half the width of the table and the table should be at least 6 inches wider on all side than the fixture above it.
